Oh man I feel this.

My first internet community was on a fan site called “Calvin and Hobbes at Martijn’s”, and it was hella fun. Then, after a year or so, Watterson’s lawyers came in and took it down. I still miss those guys man…

I had a few situations like this when I made my first forays into the internet, and into writing and roleplaying. In two of them though facebook and myspace were getting pretty big and one of them was the forums for a game that was hosted on the old myspace apps thing, so we all stayed in contact through that for a while.

Both places are defunct now, completely gone or just about, but the people I was closest too I have on facebook. We don’t talk much, and haven’t in a long time, but they’re still good friends and I’m glad for the times we all had.
