It was so loud that day… I tried so hard to drown out the screams and cries of my friends and family in the backyard, but it was no use… My brothers and I knew that there was no way of stopping it, and no way of running; we all just stayed and waited for our fate.
It was mowing day
I heard the rumble of the monster nearing, eventually I could see the shiny, red metal bumper. I closed my eyes and knew it was coming. I felt a WHOOSH and silence. All around. The mower stopped, the screams ended, and I was spared. I opened my eyes and I saw the vast, green land. The Flat Strip was just behind me and The Eternal Journey ahead.
